Today I'm going to show you six space saving storage and organizational ideas that we use under Grand Design Travel Trailer
0:10
Let's get started in the kitchen. This is the Grand Design pantry that we have. It's a half pantry
0:18
8 inches, like 22 inches, like 23 inches deep. You can be amazed how much stuff I can get in here with just a few
0:29
simple organizational techniques. Here we go. Here's everything that I'm going to put into
0:37
that pantry, which was 8 by 22 by 23. We have corn, we have bottles of hot sauce
0:54
we have dehydrated marshmallows. We got We have peanut butter, we've got spices, we've got boxes and treats for the grand fun, jiffy mix, vegetable oil
1:11
cheesy crutches. I haven't seen these yet. These are new to me. And Pop tarts, two to different flavor of pop tarts, wretch dressing, candy bars, marshmallows. It'll all fit in that pantry. Let me show you how
1:26
Let me show you have. We got all that stuff in the dining room table and how we get it into here
1:29
First of all, you got a sliding shelf. It makes life a little easier. You see everything. On the bottom, we've got two shelves
1:39
All that stuff on the dining table fits into here. And I'm going to show you how we do it
1:46
It's real. Okay, alright, there you go. Look there there
2:13
All of that fit I made this myself I would not recommend it Buy one off Amazon I bought this off Amazon I put the link down below Easy to put in Very easy to put in
2:35
And that's how we did it. On to the next one. Okay, we got our gas range and oven. You don't use it. Don't use it at all. Never have
2:48
use it at all. Never have. So you got a glass top that covers the burners and you know what
2:57
Food falls down here, water drinks, milk, whatever gets down in here and it's just a mess
3:04
clean up. So since we don't use it, we want to come up with a solution that we could
3:08
make this area more accessible and more usable space than something to avoid
3:15
So our solution to that was this cutting board. Got it off Amazon
3:23
The one thing about it, we did, we did buy these rubber feet and put on there so it won't slide around
3:29
And what that allows us to do, we put it over the top like this
3:35
and now we have a cutting board, we have extra work space for the kitchen
3:41
and it does not allow food, liquid to drop down in there, which makes the mess cream out there. There's a little cut out here at rim
3:49
So if you do if you're doing something and it smells off the side, it doesn't fall down there
3:55
We did get this from Amazon. I'll put the links to it down in the description and along with the rubber feet
4:02
And I tell you what, this makes a good solution, especially if you don't use your propane stove top or your oven
4:09
Or you still use your oven with it, but that this is just made a huge difference
4:14
as far as the workspace in the kitchen. To get increased storage and some organization in our bedroom on my wife's side of the bed
4:24
we put in this hanging cloth shelves and they work really good
4:30
My wife can store stuff on them like she has here. She can stack multiple environments in there and it has made a huge difference
4:40
Now there is one caveat to that. did steal some of my side to hang some stuff that she doesn want to get wrinkled on So but this this has been a game changer for her She would rather fold up stuff and stack it here than hang it because
4:58
she didn't have enough space to put all the stuff that she doesn't want to hang on her side of the bed
5:05
So anyway, this is cheap. I'll put the, I'll put the link to Amazon in it
5:10
It, it's, it's made a difference for her. Now I'll show you my side. Okay
5:14
We're going to talk about my side of the bed. And here's the side we hang stuff
5:21
You can see we got one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten
5:29
We got eleven shirts hanging up. Just regular old stuff. Now what we have done is we went to these skinny hangers
5:42
And it doesn't look like a little bit of all stuff. a lot of difference. But when you get them in there and you just lose a eighth of an inch or a
5:52
straw or a weak quarter, when you do that by 10, that's quite a bit of space in a small
5:59
camper. So definitely go to the skinny hangers. For the small hangers, you have the ability
6:05
to hang more clothes and the same amount of space than you do with the big hangers. Now the other
6:09
thing we do is back behind here because there's extra space. space, I have a box. And it is collapsible. And what we do here, if you can see it, we pack, we roll up other t-shirts and whatnot. We have a t-shirts. I have a jacket rolled up inside of here. I got, I actually have a pair of pants rolled up, sweatpants that I use when it gets cold
6:43
inside this little thing that sits back behind here I have I have one two three four five six
6:49
I can double it so I could get twelve and that includes a windbreaker and a pair of sweatpants
6:58
so this adds up this I've taken wasted space I couldn't do anything with it and I can put up to 12
7:08
and if I just went T I could get 20 T rolled up in here That quite a bit I usually go through a couple of t a day when I camping So anyway that is our organizational tip for our bedroom and I got one more to show you
7:23
Be right back. Okay, this last is an organizational tip. That's all it is
7:32
I have this box, this drawer, which my wife has given me
7:39
and I keep stuff that I need to access when I'm outside the RV
7:43
of quite a bit. An example. I have a flashlight
7:54
I know where it is. It's always in this drawing. I have one of these screwdrivers, 13 and 1
8:03
Everything I need to work on the camper, let me rephrase that
8:08
Everything I've run across to work on the campus so far, I can do with this with this 13-1 screwdriver
8:13
Sometimes the socket set makes it a little easier, but most of its stuff is screwed in, and if they need to be tightened or loosen or I need to add something to work on something, this is it
8:23
This little tool makes it happen. I don't know how I collect so many keys, but I keep them all right here. I can open up the door, reach in, and grab them
8:35
And other than that, it. It's my junk drawer. I think everybody needs one. But the two main things that I
8:47
go to the three things, the keys, a flashlight, and a 13 and one screwdriver. This makes life
8:56
so much easier. I don't have to go hunting, digging through toolboxes. My wife knows where
9:01
they are. She reaches in and gets them. When she needs them, I reach in and get these three
9:06
items the most when I need them. So what do you think? The pantry, get a lot of stuff in that pantry now
9:12
our bedroom closets, get more stuff in there, and it's more organized, and a little drawer
9:18
where we keep the 13-1 screwdriver, the keys, and the flashlight. It helps. It makes life a little easier
